Closed-End Copper Blind Rivets

These closed-end blind rivets feature a copper rivet body, dome head, and stainless steel mandrel. The combination provides good corrosion resistance, a distinctive copper finish, and reliable permanent fastening for compatible indoor and outdoor applications.

Key Features

  • Copper rivet body: Offers good corrosion resistance and is suitable for applications where copper material, appearance, or electrical conductivity may be beneficial.
  • Stainless steel mandrel: Provides the pulling strength required to expand and set the rivet during installation.
  • Closed-end construction: The sealed rivet body helps reduce the passage of moisture, air, dust, and other contaminants through the center of the installed rivet.
  • Dome-head design: Provides a clean, low-profile finished appearance and distributes the clamping force around the drilled hole.
  • One-sided installation: Suitable for assemblies where access is available from only one side.

Available Sizes and Packaging

This product is available in 3.2mm and 4.0mm rivet-body diameters with multiple body lengths. Eight size options are currently available in the product selector.

Available in 100-piece and 1,000-piece packs. Select the required diameter and length according to the drilled-hole size, combined material thickness, and specified grip range shown in the product images.

Moisture-Resistant Fastening

Compared with a standard open-end blind rivet, the closed-end body provides improved protection against moisture and contaminant entry through the rivet center. When correctly sized and properly installed, it is suitable for applications requiring a more enclosed joint.

Actual water resistance depends on the hole condition, grip-range selection, mating surfaces, installation quality, and surrounding joint design. A separate washer, gasket, or sealant may still be required where a fully watertight assembly is necessary.

Strength and Material Compatibility

Closed-end rivets may provide improved tensile and shear performance compared with some equivalent open-end designs. Final joint strength depends on the selected rivet diameter, material thickness, grip range, hole quality, and installation method.

Because copper can react with certain dissimilar metals in wet or corrosive environments, confirm material compatibility before installation. Additional isolation or surface protection may be appropriate for long-term outdoor use.

Typical Applications

Suitable for compatible sheet metal, equipment housings, electrical projects, copper components, decorative metalwork, workshop repairs, vehicle components, indoor fixtures, and other assemblies requiring a closed-end copper blind rivet.

Installation Guidance

  1. Measure the total thickness of the materials being joined.
  2. Select a rivet whose grip range includes the measured thickness.
  3. Prepare a clean hole matching the selected rivet-body diameter.
  4. Insert the rivet through the aligned materials.
  5. Use a compatible blind-rivet tool with the correct nosepiece.
  6. Operate the tool to pull the stainless steel mandrel until it breaks at the designed point.
  7. Check that the dome head is seated correctly and the joint is secure.

Do not strike the mandrel or use the rivet outside its specified grip range. If you are unsure which size to choose, contact us with the material thickness, drilled-hole diameter, application, and required quantity before ordering.
