Taxes, Customs Clearance, and Destination Charges

JIANDAXIN is responsible only for taxes, fees, and export formalities applicable to the shipment before it leaves China.

Once the shipment arrives in the destination country or region, the recipient is solely responsible for completing all required import and customs procedures and for paying all charges imposed at the destination.

These destination charges may include, but are not limited to:

• Customs duties and import taxes;
• Value-added tax, goods and services tax, or similar local taxes;
• Customs clearance and customs brokerage fees;
• Carrier administration or handling fees;
• Terminal, warehouse, or storage fees;
• Local delivery, transfer, or pickup fees;
• Inspection, documentation, or processing fees; and
• Any other charges imposed by customs authorities, carriers, warehouses, ports, terminals, or local service providers.

Unless expressly stated in writing by JIANDAXIN, product prices and shipping charges paid at checkout do not include any taxes, duties, clearance fees, pickup fees, storage fees, or other charges arising in the destination country or region.

In some destinations, the carrier, customs authority, warehouse, port, terminal, or local service provider may require the recipient to pay applicable charges and collect the shipment in person. The recipient is responsible for monitoring the shipment, responding to customs or carrier notices, making any required payment, and collecting the shipment within the specified time.

A recipient’s refusal or failure to pay destination charges, complete customs clearance, provide required documents, or collect the shipment does not transfer those charges to JIANDAXIN.

If a shipment is delayed, held, returned, disposed of, or abandoned because the recipient does not complete customs clearance, pay destination charges, or collect the shipment on time, the recipient will be responsible for the resulting storage, return shipping, handling, disposal, and related costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Any refund that may otherwise be available will be subject to our Return and Refund Policy. Where permitted by applicable law, costs resulting from a failed customs clearance, refused delivery, unpaid destination charges, or an uncollected shipment may be deducted from the refund.

Customers are responsible for checking the import requirements and likely destination charges with their local customs authority, carrier, or customs broker before placing an order.
