All-Aluminum Closed-End Blind Rivets

These closed-end blind rivets feature an aluminum body and aluminum mandrel, providing a lightweight fastening solution with good corrosion resistance. The sealed-end construction helps limit the passage of moisture, air, dust, and other contaminants through the rivet body.

Key Features

  • All-Aluminum Construction: The aluminum rivet body and mandrel provide a lightweight, corrosion-resistant fastening solution suitable for many indoor and outdoor applications.
  • Closed-End Design: The sealed rivet body helps reduce the entry of moisture, air, dust, and other contaminants when the rivet is correctly sized and installed.
  • Dome Head: The standard dome head provides a clean finished appearance and distributes the clamping load across the material surface.
  • One-Sided Installation: Blind rivets can be installed when only one side of the workpiece is accessible.
  • Multiple Options: Available in 100-piece and 1,000-piece quantities, with several nominal diameter and length combinations.

Available Sizes

  • 3/16" × 3/8" (4.8 × 10 mm)
  • 3/16" × 1/2" (4.8 × 12 mm)
  • 3/16" × 5/8" (4.8 × 16 mm)

Before ordering, confirm the drilled-hole diameter, total material thickness, required grip range, and head clearance. Rivet length alone does not determine compatibility.

Installation

  1. Drill or prepare a clean hole of the correct diameter through the materials being joined.
  2. Insert the rivet body through the aligned holes until the dome head rests against the material surface.
  3. Fit the correct nosepiece of a manual, pneumatic, or battery-powered blind-rivet tool over the mandrel.
  4. Operate the tool to pull the mandrel until it breaks at the designed point and forms the blind-side joint.
  5. Inspect the installed rivet to confirm that the head is seated evenly and the joint is secure.

Typical Applications

Suitable for sheet metal, equipment panels, enclosures, ductwork, furniture, automotive body or interior panels, workshop projects, and general indoor or outdoor repairs where one-sided installation is required.

Sealing Note

The closed-end construction can improve resistance to moisture and contaminant entry compared with an open-end rivet. Final water and air resistance depends on the hole condition, material surface, correct grip range, rivet size, and installation quality. Test the completed joint before use in submerged, pressurized, structural, or safety-critical applications.

If you are unsure which size is suitable, please contact us with your hole diameter, total material thickness, application, and required quantity before ordering.
