Closed-End Copper Blind Rivets

These closed-end dome-head blind rivets feature a copper rivet body and steel mandrel. The copper body provides useful corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity, while the steel mandrel supplies the pulling force required during installation.

  • Closed-End Construction: The sealed rivet body helps limit the passage of moisture, air, dust, and other contaminants through the center of the fastener.
  • Copper Body and Steel Mandrel: This material combination is suitable for projects where copper appearance, conductivity, and practical corrosion resistance are required.
  • Dome-Head Design: The standard dome head distributes the clamping load over the surrounding material and provides a clean finished appearance.
  • One-Sided Installation: These blind rivets can be installed when only one side of the workpiece is accessible.
  • Pack Options: Available in 100-piece and 1,000-piece packs. Select the required diameter and length from the options shown on this page.

Installation

  1. Confirm that the selected rivet diameter, length, and grip range are suitable for the combined material thickness.
  2. Drill or prepare a clean, correctly sized hole through the materials being joined.
  3. Insert the rivet body fully through the aligned holes.
  4. Use a compatible hand, pneumatic, or battery-powered blind-rivet tool to pull the mandrel until it breaks at its designed point.

Suggested Applications

Suitable for sheet-metal work, enclosures, equipment panels, electrical assemblies, indoor repairs, and selected outdoor projects. These rivets may also be used where a closed-end fastener is preferred to help reduce moisture or contaminant contamin entry.

Important Compatibility Notes

Sealing performance depends on the hole size, grip range, installation quality, joint design, and condition of the mating surfaces. For prolonged water exposure, pressure-containing joints, structural assemblies, or safety-critical applications, verify the finished joint for the intended operating conditions before use.

Copper and steel are dissimilar metals. Consider possible galvanic corrosion when these rivets are installed in certain metals or continuously exposed to moisture, salt, or chemicals.
